The band went on to record a demo of the songs “Fuego de Eternidad” and “En Tu Ausencia” in 2004. The demo was played widely on radio stations throughout Riobamaba and Ecuador, leading to widespread national recognition. Corvus was invited to concerts throughout Ecuador, sharing the stage with such well-known Ecuadorian bands as Cross Fire, XXX, and Mortal Decision.

In 2005, Corvus was invited to contribute to a compilation CD. The CD, “La Zona de Metal 3”, included songs from multiple Ecuadorian heavy metal bands, well known throughout the country.

Corvus has also appeared in several heavy metal magazines in Ecuador, including Headbangers Magazine, La Gaceta del Rock, Heavy Metal Magazine, and Línea Rock. They received rave reviews and were invited to participate in the making of another compilation CD.

By the end of 2005, Corvus was considered one of the best new heavy metal bands by radio stations throughout central Ecuador, due to the band’s successful demo and compilation CD. The band was invited to participate in several international concerts in the region, along with Colombian band Kraken and the Argentinean band Patan.

At the end of 2007 Corvus produced its first album, “En Tu Ausencia”, which featured 11 recordings and was recognized by La Casa de la Cultura Ecuatoriana Núcleo de Chimborazo (The Chimborazo Cultural Center). The CD was officially launched on January 25, 2008, in the auditorium of La Casa de la Cultura, presented in front of an audience from throughout Ecuador. Corvus’s recent successes have contributed to recognition of the band as one of the most important heavy metal bands from Riobamba.
